As we are all aware the year 2020 has been possible the worst year in our time and i cannot remember another year that even comes close, I think you would have to go back to the 2nd world war to find one With all the social restrictions that have been put in place and people not being allowed to mingle in large numbers or travel to exotic locations. This meant that almost every C64 demo party / getogether was held virtually.
Genesis*Project released what a demo dedicated to everyone and especially to those that had been lost to Covid19 or who passed away in general (the pandemic stopped many people from being with their loved one during there final moments) and in my opinion it has to be one of the most impressive demo release of the year, if not EVER.
Where to start, well firstly there is the loader which was especially developed for the demo and without it the end part would not have been possible in fact this is the first dmeo that i can remember to have a special screen just for the loader system so it must be special. The demo has some truely amazing code, the G*P crew have really excelled this time. I especially like the stained-glass plasma and the 2nd turn disk part that also doubles as the greetings so you can flip the disk when you want to or wait to see if your group has a greeting before you continue.
Below is a video capture of the demo, and below that are the 2 stunning pieces of art created by razorback (even when i see them i still cannot believe that they are from the c64 with its limited 16 colour pallete) that are streamed from the disk and drawn in the sideborders (a world first).
