I am not sure what to make of this film, its not a badly made movie, its just that i cannot help but feel that it was trying to be one things but ended up either short of the original target or something completely different.

As I write this i have not seen the other venom movie with spiderman so i am not really that familiar with the character other than its an alien symbiote that attaches itself to a host and can take control of their body at will.

As the Venom movie progress’s you find out that ‘venom’ is not a single entity but a member of an alien race and a lowly one at that.  Tom hardy does his best with the story and the effects are good … but it is just lacking the wow factor that other superhero movies have had.
